Barack should take the bait.

McCain just suggested a series of joint town hall appearences starting in New York on June 12th. Obama should just say "yes."

There are many reasons why the town hall idea is good. It saves money, and would have a flavor of a REAL Debate, and if they start next week, then it would cut Hillary off at the knees. I know we're supposed to be nice and everything, but it's very important that her supporters know that it's OVER, and the general has started.

Now as to the forums. They should be as free form as possible, wide ranging as possible, and that would make them interesting as possible. Not like the pundits yelling at each other all the time, but if it's civilized, then we could have an entirely new campaign style. That would be worth everything.

So Federal Hall on the twelfth it is. Unless Obama, whom I support vigorously, is indeed the wimp McCain says he is.
